Jim Carrey to sign his children’s book “How Roland Rolls” at Barnes & Noble in Buckhead, Atlanta
Saturday, October 19th at 2 p.m.
Jim Carrey will be at the Barnes & Noble in Buckhead, Atlanta on Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m. A winner of two Golden Globe awards — Best Actor for “Man on the Moon” and “The Truman Show” — Carrey will greet fans and sign copies of his new children’s book, “How Roland Rolls.”
According to Carrey, the 64-page book is “a story about a wave named Roland who’s afraid that, one day, when he hits the beach, his life will be over. But when he gets deep, he’s struck by the notion that he’s not just a wave — he’s the whole big, wide ocean! It shows humanity’s interconnectedness through the metaphor of a wave in the ocean.”
The book, which was released on September 24, 2013, received a Gelett Burgess Award which honors outstanding children’s books. In addition to the book, a 4-song EP with songs written and performed by Carrey and his daughter Jane was released on iTunes. An enhanced e-book will be released in November. Carrey is currently filming “Dumb And Dumber To” in the Atlanta area.
To attend the book signing, customers will be given a wristband at the Buckhead store with the purchase of “How Roland Rolls.” The store is located at 2900 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 310, Atlanta 30305 (Ph: 404-261-7747).
