Author of “When Angels Die” to sell and sign books at Houston Authors Bash
Caroline de Chavigny, author of self-help book “When Angels Die,” will sell and sign books from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., Feb. 22, at Houston Authors Bash in Katy. “When Angels Die” describes how she overcame a vicious rape and became a crime survivor.

HOUSTON (Feb. 12, 2014) — A young single mother’s world forever changed when she was raped and left for dead in her own home in July 1993. She survived, but she and her children were left with scars that took years to heal.

Caroline de Chavigny will share her story and sell and sign copies of her book, “When Angels Die,” at Houston Authors Bash. The event is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Harmony Science Academy West Houston, 22400 Grand Corner Dr., in Katy; Wines & Labels Productions is host of Houston Authors Bash, and more than 70 authors will sell and sign their books.

“When Angels Die” (Banney House Publications/$9.99 paperback and $4.99 e-book) chronicles how de Chavigny and her sons rebuilt their lives, despite nightmares and flashbacks, fear and anger. They also struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder and attempted suicides until they found professional therapy that saved them.

“I originally wrote the book as a form of self-help therapy because I couldn’t find a book that offered a guide to life after a rape and how to transition from crime victim to crime survivor,” de Chavigny said. “Now, I want ‘When Angels Die’ to help others and offer them hope and inspiration as they go from being shattered victims to strong survivors.”

“When Angels Die” also is available at www.CarolinedeChavigny.com and www.Amazon.com.

Tickets to Houston Authors Bash are available at www.WinesandLabelsProductions.com. There is no charge for admission.
