Lizzie Mcguire star Hilary Duff will be hitting several cities next month to promote the sequel to her debut novel. She’ll be signing copies of the newest volume in the Elixir Series, titled “Devoted.”
Duff, aged 23, saw her career take off at a young age when she was cast in the title role of the popular Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire (2001-2004). She also starred in the 2003 film based on the series, The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Her other film roles include Cheaper by the Dozen (and its sequel), A Cinderella Story, and Material Girls, which she also produced. Recently, she’s appeared in a guest starring role on Gossip Girl. A woman of many talents, Duff has put out three multi-Platinum albums and has a business acumen quite remarkable for someone of her yet young years: she has a bestselling fragrance for Elizabeth Arden, called “With Love, Hilary Duff,” and a successful clothing line for DKNY. Born into affluence like many celebs, Duff gives back through her charitable work. She co-founded Blessings in a Backpack, an organization that provides nourishing food for less fortunate school children; and she was named Youth Ambassador to Colombia. “Devoted” hits bookstores October 11, 2011.
