Captain Kirk… er um… William Shatner has written a book, “Shatner Rules: Your Guide to Understanding the Shatnerverse and the World at Large,” and he’ll be beaming over to Fifth Avenue next month to sign copies and enlighten you with his secrets to success.
He’s an actor, director, producer, writer, recording artist, and (I’ll bet you didn’t know this) a world champion equestrian. The originator of the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the TV series Star Trek, he’s also reprized the role seven times on film in the Star Trek movie franchise. Yeah, yeah, I know he’s the Priceline guy these days, but he’s also currently hosting Shatner’s Raw Nerve on the Bio channel. He was also the star of $#*! My Dad Says, a sitcom based on the Twitter feed of @shitmydadsays. Shatner is the author of nearly thirty books, both fiction and non, including his New York Times bestselling autobiography, “Up Til Now.” Ok… I won’t leave off without mentioning T.J. Hooker… or the fact that my friend Mike does a killer Kirk impersonation (shout out to Mike). “Shatner Rules” will be released into strange new worlds and boldly go where no man has gone before, on October 4, 2011.
