Former supermodel turned media mogul Tyra Banks will making a special appearance to sign copies of her debut novel, Modelland. Banks is the creator of the reality television shows America’s Next Top Model and True Beauty, and the host of talk show The Tyra Banks Show. Born and raised in Southern California, Banks began modeling in the 11th grade. She’s done runway and print modeling for Victoria’s Secret, CoverGirl, Chanel, Anna Sui, Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue, Cosmo and others. She’s the first African American model to have graced the covers of both GQ and Sports Illustrated (Swimsuit). She has appeared as herself in numerous films, such as Tropic Thunder and Hannah Montana, along with character roles in other films. Modelland hit bookshelves on September 13, 2011.
