About the book

About the author
She’s an American politician, author and political news commentator, and the first woman to be elected Governor of Alaska. In 2008, selected by the Republican Party, she was presidential candidate John McCain’s running-mate and the first ever female vice-presidential nominee of the Republican Party. Prior to her governorship, Palin was a member of the Wasilla, Alaska City Council from 1992 to 1996, and Mayor of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002. In July 26, 2009, Palin effectively resigned her post as Governor of Alaska, eighteen months before the completion of her term, citing the numerous ethics complaints filed against her as the catalyst.
